Estimate £5,000-8,000
Overall in good clean condition, has the appearance of having been restored within the past 20 years of so, colour a fairly pale walnut tone, overall timbers give the appearance of having been cleaned and then repolished as does the brass handle at the top, dial equally clean, one small mark between 6 and 7, slight oxidisation to hands, false pendulum appears to be missing, sides of case unusually fitted with fine wooden fretwork which is bowing a little and one of the roundels is missing one tip of a scroll, back door lock replaced with a ball bearing fitment, movement looks clean and restored, clarion quite possibly later, bob pendulum is certainly a later replacement, bears a repairers label for Malcolm Styles of Tunbridge Wells stating major overhaul to movement in December 08 to verge set up, back of case notably darker than the front, movement going though not tested for timekeeping, repeat working.
Purchased by the vendor from an auction at Philips of Sevenoaks many years ago.
