A Chinese Hongmu rectangular document box, late 19th century, with three character engraved inscription to the sliding cover, 28cm.

A fine crack to the base panel, there are a number of brass pin marks on the exterior with corroded pins on the interior, evidence of four pin marks on the cover where a plaque may have once been mounted, the sliding cover is a slightly loose fit otherwise good condition.
