A Chinese jadeite, coral and hardstone mounted silver sword, early 20th century, with green hardstone handle to the blade, the silver scabbard profusely carved and chased with chilong and applied with filigree work, jadeite chi-dragon roundels, rectangular agate chi-dragon panels and coral and turquoise matrix cabochons, total length 90cm.

The silver is tarnished with some remnants of old white silver polish in some of the raised areas, the inset hardstones are all present, the jadeite roundels have minute chips on a couple of high points, the silver scabbard has some minor dents here and there, two thirds of the length is pushed in very slightly beneath one of the agate plaques, there is a small loss to a turquoise cabochon at the very tip of the scabbard, otherwise in good condition. The blade is purely ornamental and slightly tarnished and has grease upon it.
