Oil on ivory with an overall slightly faded appearance, small crescent shaped marks to the ivory running from 12 down to 2 o'clock, these come just beyond the edge, slight brownish mark to the top of the sitters hair, initialled and dated at 8 o'clock, very slight curve to the ivory bowing up a little at 3 and 9 o'clock, in a pale gilt frame, red enamel style backing appears to be later.
