A pair of late 17th century oak North Cheshire / South Lancashire backstools, with turned spindle backs and crest rails carved with fan motif , the scroll uprights with circular carved decoration

Basically very similar condition to Lot 597, with a few minor repairs and shrinkage cracks in places, one chair has front corner of the seat repaired, other chair has evidence of old worm damage to arch crest rail. Both generally average.
