A French paté-sur-paté celadon ground and gilt metal mounted lamp base, late 19th century, decorated to one side with a Greek maiden holding a lamp and classical trophy to the other, oil lamp fitting converted for electricity, total height 46cm

Flaking to the gilding. Some discoloured scratching around the metal handles, occasional minor scratching and minor firing imperfections to the glaze. There is some dried on residue to the foot which appears to flake off- the lamp base could do with a clean. The cover, which has been converted to an oil repository has been restored.
