A Chelsea Hans Sloane botanical plate, c.1755, painted with yellow flowers and insects amidst green leaves all within a brown edged lobed rim, red anchor mark, 21cm

There is some crazing and light staining to the glaze to an area of a border of the plate, to the left of the yellow flower around the blue flowers and to the left of the dragonfly, on the opposing side this can be seen as a grey mis-fired patch with some pale brown discolouring, the underside of the foot there is some heavy black speckling in places, there is also a 13mm wide x 5mm deep shallow rim chip by one of the leaves to the border, wear to the enamel brown edge.
