A George II silver tankard by William Williams I, of tapering form with banded girdle and domed cover with scroll thumbpiece, London, 1742, 7.5in, 25.5 oz.

There are 3 small dents around the lower half of the body. There is a small ding and a nick towards the centre of the body along with some light surface scratches. The base of the thumbpiece has been professionally repaired (visible solder). The lid is very slightly loose in situ. Full set of hallmarks on lid interior which are clear. Hallmarks on side of main body visible but beginning to rub. Handle with maker's mark only.
