Some undulation of the ivory showing both across the top and more extremely the lower right corner, also a 1 inch split showing in the top left corner, slightly ill-fitting in frame perhaps due tot he undulation of the ivory pulling the right edge away from the border, in an old gilt gesso frame which has suffered some losses and damage to the corners. Old labels verso for Arthur Ackermann along with hand annotated labels giving details of the sitter and artist. Signature incised at approx. 2 o'clock. Paint looks a little faded, overall fair nut not exceptional condition.
