Oil on canvas cleaned, relined and restored approx. 20 years or so ago, canvas still good and tight and surface fairly clean, a fine but stable craquelure showing through much of the work, varnish possibly a little discoloured, skin has a rather yellowish tone. Minor small dirt specks and light surface scratches scattered throughout the piece, in a period laurel leaf caved giltwood and gesso frame which has some splits notably at 12 and 6 o'clock, a few tiny paper labels verso just relating to where the picture has been hung in various houses.
