cf. British Museum, London for a Hans Sloane style dish, accession no. 1959,1102.137, of identical shape but slightly smaller. They state ‘The shape of this dish is after a silver shape created by the proprietor of the Chelsea porcelain manufactory and a silversmith Nicholas Sprimont. The shape is rarely decorated with the so-called 'Hans Sloane' botanical pattern, so may be an experimental design or made as a serving dish’.
