Johnstone, including his miniature medal set with the clasp for the 8th Army on the Africa star and an oakleaf on the 1939-1945 medal, (six medals in total), together with; his Black Watch glengarry cap, the silk ‘escape’ map he used when parachuting into North Africa, a sketched portrait of Johnston in uniform, photographs, newspaper cuttings relating to the action in North Africa, and a cutting showing a photograph of Field Marshall Montgomery talking to the men of the black watch, with Johnston talking to General Sir Brian Horrocks in the background of the photograph and a record of Johnstone’s time as custodian of Himmler, plus an original copy of ‘the 8th Army Personal message from the Army Commander’ (B.L.
