A Japanese patinated bronze group of two tigers attacking an elephant, Meiji period, the elephant roaring with raised trunk, one tiger upon its back, another beneath its front foot, signed, 35cm long, 36cm high. Condition - fair, tusks loose. CITES Submission reference AQKXXA7U

Overall of a good rich original dark patination with some striping to the tigers, tusks are ivory, tigers look to once have had glass or otherwise inset eyes that are now missing, stand with recesses to fit the bronze but probably associated, height is without stand, width of stand 36cm
