A pair of framed early 20th century Japanese oval silk embroideries of Kingfishers, embroidered on cream silk in pastel shades of silk thread, in a variety of stitches, various parts of each bird slightly couched giving the embroideries a three dimensional element, both in oval wooden mounts then framed, 15.5cm wide x 10.5cm high (not including mount or frame). Condition - both embroideries have good colour, one has a very small mark to the right edge. The mounts are good but the frames both have damage.
