A fine Chinese famille rose ‘Romance of the Western Chamber’ dish, Jiaqing-Daoguang period, superbly enamelled with two ladies seated at a table on a pavilion terrace, with the figures of two men on the walls below flying a kite to catch their attention, within intricately painted butterfly, fruit and flower border, the underside with Jiang Zhenglong zhi seal mark reserved on a turquoise ground, 20.1cm diameter

Condition:
An attractive dish. Occasional minor scratches to the glaze and gilding, some slight fritting to the turquoise enamel on the underside. Some over enamelling to some manufacturing splinters on the inside edge of the foot, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks detected.
