A rosewood framed sampler, dated 1842, by Martha Brook, aged 11years, worked above with large motifs of flower baskets and a bird, a vase of flowers beneath, surrounded by crowns, butterflies and chicks above two small cartouche worked cottages and central named and dated panel, all then bordered with vineous flowers, 41.5cm wide x 52.5cm high. Condition - many of the colours have faded in sunlight.
