An Edwardian ladies full length summer croquet dress. Designed in a fine cream gauze, with a boned high lace collar and v neck front. The dress decorated with heavy floral cream embroidery, bobbin lace insets and feature tucking. The waist band a wide cream silk ribbon sash with rose sprig embroidery is damaged.
140cm neck/shoulder to base of hem Condition: Sadly the sash has rotted with age but may be replaced with similar ribbon. Once the sash is removed from the dress, the dress would benefit careful cleaning/washing. The fabric and embroidery appear sound, the lace collar delicate. This dress would be useful for a costume drama or repurposed as a wedding dress.
