Three long lengths of late 19th century silk woven braiding. One woven in gold, turquoise and maroon silk, possibly for ecclesiastic use, in Christopher Dresser ‘style’ motifs, another in gold and black silk thread in a vining floral and leaf design. The last a wider braid in a bold brown and gold silk and wool design.
The Christopher Dresser style braid 346cm long x 5.5cm wide.
Condition - appear to be unstained, torn or frayed. Possibly remnants from larger retail rolls.
