A Mid 19th century mahogany 8 day longcase regulator by E. J. Dent of Strand, London with plain case and silvered 10 inch square dial, single fusee movement with anchor escapement and unsigned backplate, Height 6ft 0.5in.

This clock is in good clean condition, looks to have seen some restoration within the past 10 to 15 years or so, case is a rich dark mahogany tone, slightly faded and having lost its polish down the left hand side, a notch has been cut out of the back just below the lower rim of the hood, the left side moulding below the hood the glue has come unstuck and the piece is now loose but present, dents and nicks particularly to the front corners of the box base commensurate with age and use, dial in very good clean order, equally so with the movement which looks to have been overhauled relatively recently, comes with a very heavy brass cased weight, a steel mercury filled? adjustable pendulum, two case keys and a brass winding key.
