PAUL STORR. A pair of George III silver salvers, 57.5 oz.

PAUL STORR. A pair of George III silver salvers, of circular form, with gadrooned and shell borders and later engraved scroll decoration and armorial depicting Thwaites impaling Dent, on four foliate feet, London, 1814, 12.25in, 57.5 oz.
Estimate £1,500-2,000

Both have engraved armorials to the centre. The gauge of the silver is quite thin to both in the centre as on the reverse there is evidence of an old inscription which has been removed. Some of the lettering is still visible. There are a few minor dings around the edge of the interior rim on one of the salvers. Overall condition is otherwise good. Hallmarks clear.
