An 18th century Maltese walnut serpentine commode, fitted with three long drawers, with boxwood stringing on scroll supports, W.3ft 6in.

Top- There are numerous hairline cracks to the veneer. There are old repairs to both rear corners. There is some colour fading in parts also. Some moulding missing from rim on the right side and front right corner. Some loss of veneer on top right rim.
Right panel, again has numerous hairline cracks to the veneer. There is some slight warping to the banding towards the bottom of the panel.
All drawer fronts have hairline cracks to the veneer. Some moulding missing from the right side rim of 2nd drawer and top right side of the 3rd drawer. All three drawer interior base have splits.
Left panel has numerous hairline cracks to the veneer. Some colour fading has been observed also. All three aprons have hairline cracks to the veneer annd the two side aprons, each have a piece of moulding missing.
To summerize, the piece is in need of attention.
