Lot 104 , An English Dodd violin or cello bow & another bow
An English Dodd violin or cello bow, with ivory frog and nut, stamped mark, 75 grams, together with another violin bow by Tourte
Estimate £200-300
Ivory frog appears to be in reasonable condition but the octagonal nut at the end does have a little split to one side, there is a woven band close to the centre of the bow which is actually restoration and is stabilising a split in the stick, unsure what would have been used - appears to be a mahogany or other similar type of hardwood.
Cello bow has been broken and repaired some time ago.
