Two Chinese late Qing Dynesty coloured silk and gold thread embroidered belt purses, or ‘hebao’, for carrying coins, seals and fragrant herbs etc. One - 19cm long,in cream silk, with the embroidered words: “It’s music is of fragrant and noble quality”, beautiful and splendid like a national jade tablet. Condition - the cream silk has discoloured slightly with use. The other purse has worn slightly too.
