A framed 1835, dated sampler, embroidered by Mary Walker, worked in fine coloured silks, with a central verse and large three storey house, trees, dogs, deer and rabbits, below a panel of embroidered trees, flowers and birds and two narrow embroidered side borders. 30cm wide x 37cm high. Condition - the central verse background has discoloured with age and various silks have lost their original colour, the embroidery however is sound.
