A pair of large Meissen models of swans, 19th century, each outside decorated, the swans seated on a grassy mound with rushes, incised model numbers 1039 and 1046, the former with incised cancellation line to the blue crossed swords mark, 32cm high, 23cm long, one neck restored

Condition:
The swan with its head turned left has some flaking and wear to the enamel on its beak and around the base, a splinter chip to the tip of one of the leaves on the base and two large firing cracks to the base, complete with incised cancellation mark to the crossed swords mark. The Swan looking to its right has been broken and restored with filler across its head and t0 a number of sections on its neck. Also some wear to the enamel to the base and a firing crack to one side of the base. Otherwise in reasonable condition.
