A series of five Meissen porcelain figures of Cupid, late 19th century, modelled by Heinrich Schwabe, playing blind man’s buff, caught in a trap, holding a heart, looking perplexed and with his hands and wings tied behind his back, each on a gilded faux marble circular base, underglaze blue crossed swords marks and incised model numbers L102, L116, L118, L119, L120, 15.5cm - 20cm high, perplexed Cupid restored
Provenance - purchased from Winifred Williams, Eastbourne/London before 1970.

Condition:
The figure of Cupid looking perplexed has restoration to his left arm around his legs, to the bow on the base and to the top of his right arm and shoulder. Versions of this figure have either a basket or drapery on his left arm which is lacking. The figure of Cupid caught in a trap has tiny losses to the encrusted flowers and leaves. The figure of Cupid playing Blind man’s Buff has a tiny splinter chip to the tip of the bow tied on his blind fold. The other figures all appear to be in good condition just quite grubby and require a clean.
