Condition:
Watercolour on paper with fair strength of colour but the ground paper in the sky has discoloured and shows extensive foxing and acid stains from the panel joints behind, signed near 6 o'clock and housed in a highly ornate gilt gesso scroll frame which has some small cracks and losses, the second work is in slightly better condition but still with extensive discolouration in the sky, retains the artist original label verso dated 1880, with label saying 'A Corner at Lyon'
