A mid 18th century single fusee wall timepiece by Thomas Grinnard,
the 12" silvered dial with black Roman and Arabic numerals and second spacers, engraved ‘Thos. Grinnard, No.180, High Holborn, London’, in a later chinoiserie lacquered case.

Condition:
The dial of good colour, lightly cleaned. The hands are possibly later. The case is later than the movement and dial. The Victorian case with Camerer and Cuss label and later japanned in mid 18 century style. We are unable to remove the movement from the case as it has been permanently fixed in place.
