A French bronze and marble mantel timepiece, c.1900, with 5cm enamel dial, the elaborate case surmounted by a gadrooned urn, raised on a bow-front plinth flanked by ram's heads, applied with a floral swag and with a moulded white marble base, eight day movement No.21866, height 21cm

Overall the gilt finish has been worn and rubbed away down to a dull bronze base tone but still some gilt highlights scattered throughout, dial a little out of alignment and a little dirty but otherwise good, hands oxidised, movement intact but not going, possibly a later replacement anyway, plinth with minor nicks around the edges.
