Oil on canvas relined 20 - 30 years ago or so, canvas remains tight, paint rather dirty with a crude craquelure running through the darker areas particularly the black across the bottom but also showing in the folds of the curtains and petals of the roses, painting of the kittens remains free from craquelure, signed twice lower left, once in black and then reinforced above in white, housed in a later giltwood frame which is in good order. Remnant of label and old inscription verso.
