An early 20th century French novelty tobacco box

An early 20th century French novelty tobacco box, modelled as a porter's lodge, with a bronze dog in the window and sign Parlez au Portier, Condition: Wood a little faded to the lid with some fine cracking to the sides, probably a little faded but still good, mechanism not working, a wire cable runs from the dog up the front of the building and pulls down the catch, however there is a small eye that has come loose and therefore the catch is not being pulled sufficiently down to spring it open, mechanism for the door opens when the lid is lifted but is slightly bent out of shape probably from being forced, one small section of wood missing to the right of the door, otherwise fair.
