A Chinese pewter mounted Yixing teapot, Daoguang mark and of the period (1821-50), the body engraved with an inscription and a bird perched on a tree branch, the interior with impressed mark, jade mounted handle, spout and cover finial, 14.2cm across

The yixing body inside the teapot appears to be in good condition, the pewter covering has some occasional minor dents and has been cleaned up with some slight abrasion particularly to the handles and spout, the jade appears to be in good condition with some minute nibbles on edges and the pewter mounted foot is very slightly dented otherwise in reasonable condition.
