PLEASE NOTE A CHIP AND DENT TO ONE THE EDGE OF THE BOX WHEN CLOSED ON BALCK SQUARE HAS BEEN FOUND.
There are a few tiny losses to the lacquer on the corners and edges of the chessboard / box, otherwise the gilt decoration is in remarkable condition inside and out, there are some slight dry spots to the mother of pearl and the games box comes with an old English pine box which it has been kept in most of its life, the natural and red stained ivory draught pieces and matching dice shakers are generally in good condition as are the similar like lacquer dice shakers, it looks as though the counters / draughts pieces and dice shakers have been kept separate from the box most of the life as there is no evidence of scratching or wear in the interior, it is possible they were purchased seperately and put together.
