Two Chinese blue and white 'double joy' baluster jars and covers, 19th century, each decorated with the character Shuangxi on a sweetpea and scrolling foliate ground, apocryphal Chenghua mark, 45cm & 45.5cm

Both jars and covers with slight imperfections to the glaze, occasional scuffing and scratching, the first vase with a Y shaped body crack to one side and two short hairline cracks to the neck, the second vase with a firing crack and short hairline crack to the interior of the cover, not visible from the exterior, and a hairline crack visible on the interior of the vase but not visible on the exterior.
