An impressive Chinese hongmu ‘dragon’ stand, late 19th century, the swivel dish top with groove probably for a glass dome (now lacking), the lower section carved in relief and openwork with dragons chasing a flaming pearl amid clouds, 40.5cm wide x 15cm high

Condition:
There are fine age cracks to the upper edge. There a few small chip losses to the carver decoration. The stand doesn’t quite sit flat, otherwise in good condition.
