A fine Japanese Satsuma ‘takarabune’ koro and cover, late 19th century, modelled as the Seven Gods of Happiness treasure ship with a Phoenix prow, the cover modelled as a pavilion, painted in gosu blue and bright enamel colours, indistinct inscription to cover, 24cm long, slight restoration

Condition:
High quality restoration to the right wing of the Phoenix figure and to the tip of its beak, some possible retouching to the inner flange of the vessel, some slight water residue and to some of the enamels. Wear to some of the black enamel edging.
