CW Dixey & Son, a diamond and enamel lorgnette, early 20th century, the handle of foliate design, applied with blue enamel simulating calibré-cut sapphires and set with rose-cut and circular-cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.60 carats, the spring-loaded button opening to reveal a pair of eye glasses, length 9.3cm, signed Dixey 3, New Bond Street

Condition:
One diamond chipped. One lens also chipped, but secure, and still usable. Spring-loaded lorgnette catches a bit when released, but holds position well and clips securely back into place. Metal unmarked but likely to be silver (handle) and stainless steel (frames). Small chips to enamel but overall in good condition. Gross weight 26 grams.
