A pair of Japanese Satsuma 'boys' ovoid vases, Meiji period, finely painted with boys playing and acting as adults, the reverse with figures in landscapes, inscriptions within the design, 28.2cm high

Condition:
One of the vases has an over-glazed indentation to the edge of the foot, one of the vases with slight staining to the glaze on the interior of the neck, remnants of some paint on the rim of one of the vases which removed easily with a thumbnail, otherwise in good condition.
