David Smith was born in Lowestoft and exhibited around the world. He wrote several books and travelled as an artist on the QEII, with the British Antarctic Survey and painted the lighthouses for Trinity House.

Condition:
Both oils in slightly neglected condition and both in heavy impasto, Foundry scene has white mould scattered throughout, Waterfall in better order, but both a little dusty, housed in the original frames.
