A George III mahogany eight day longcase clock, anonymous, c.1770, in attractive arched case with brass stop fluted quarter columns and 30.5cm arched brass dial with Tempus Fugit inscription, five pillar movement striking on a bell, 220cm high, 51cm wide

Condition:
Overall the case of a very good rich reddish brown mahogany tone, uppermost brass finial detached but retained, the others slightly wobbly and dented, original lock to hood door present but no key, dial in fair order with old oxidisation marks, movement complete but not tested for timekeeping, trunk door slightly bowed out of shape, lock looks later, no key present, box base with small knocks and losses at the edges and foot, comes with a pendulum and two lead weights. Hood one side glass cracked.
