A composed set of four Derby figures emblematic of the Seasons, late 18th century, modelled by Pierre Stephan, the figures of Spring, Summer and Winter on circular bases, the figure of Autumn on a scrollwork base, 21cm to 25cm high, some restoration

Condition:
The figure of Spring holding a sprig of flowers in his hands has some restoration to his hat, some losses to the bows on his clothing, some losses to the leaves on the tree stump and a few firing cracks. The figure of Summer holding a basket of grapes has losses to the basket handle and some of the applied leaves, some occasional shallow chips to the edge of the foot. The figure of Winter carrying a bundle of twigs has some losses to the tree stump, some restoration to the bundle of twigs and some wear to the gilding around the edge. The figure of Autumn next to a sheaf of wheat has some heavy discoloured restoration to shoulders and neck, losses to the wheat and the encrusted leaves on the base.
