A pair of French Transitional style satinwood and marquetry side cabinets, each with fretwork gallery, frieze drawer and single cupboard, and inset with japonaiserie lacquer panels, on squared tapered legs with brass pad feet, 57cm wide, 40cm deep, 87cm high

Condition:
Possibly Dutch, circa 1890-1910. Both in somewhat neglected condition, one with sections of the gallery missing on the left, a few spare pieces are in the drawer, stippled black marking to the top along with other small scratches and damages, section of ormolu ovulo moulding loose from the left side but retained in the drawer, some wear to the front including the central lacquer panel, comes with original key with working lock, the other with similar section of fretwork gallery broken away but much of it retained in the drawer otherwise in slightly better condition but still with some hairline cracks running through the top and side panels and crazing to the front door, original lock and working key, door encloses removable oak shelves.
