Citation; 'Lance-Bombadier LANGHAM, who is a wireless operator, has shown admirable courage and determination throughout the North-West European campaign. On a number of occasions, notably on the 12th March, 1945 opposite EMMERICH and the 14th March, 1945 opposite REES, he has been subjected to mortar fire and shell fire at Observation Posts, but he always carried on with his job with the result that shots were successfully completed often under very difficult conditions. On another occasion, 24th February, 1945, at LOUISENDORF, a carrier outside the Command Post was hit and caught fire. Inspite of continued shelling, he immediately jumped into another carrier nearby and drove it clear. He then assisted in putting out the fire in the other carrier. He has continually set a fine example to those with him and his general steadiness and cheerfulness has been a great encouragement to his companions.' Paperwork includes; Letter from Buckingham Palace, Service and Pay book, Release book, Supplement to the London Gazette 22nd Jan. 1946. and a silk handkerchief embroidered 'Vera from Viv'.
