Possibly in need of a very light clean but otherwise looking to be in very good order, one or two tiny dirt specks, no sign of any overpainting, signed and dated lower right, housed in a later frame, artists inscription verso 'Greenwich, Kent painted by James Webb 1879-80 for James Lloyd Esq (do not varnish for 10 years JW)'.
