A large Chinese famille verte jardiniere or fish bowl, 19th century, painted to four reserves with a phoenix, magpies and other birds amid rockwork and flowers, an egret amid lotus, prunus and insects by rockwork and chrysanthemums, on a yellow ground decorated with scrolling flowers tendrils and leaves, within banded borders, the unglazed base with incised or engraved three character mark, 44cm diameter, 30.5cm high, flaking to green enamel

Condition:
Typical minor glazing imperfections, scuffing and scratching to the interior and exterior of the bowl. Flaking to the green enamel to the leaves on the yellow ground and to each of the reserves, otherwise in reasonable condition with no chips cracks or restoration detected.
