A Chinese blue and white ‘landscape’ brushpot, bitong, Kangxi period, painted to rectangular reserves with scholars in a mountainous river landscape scene, the reverse with birds seated on a prunus branch above rocks, unglazed ring to base, 17.8cm diameter, 15.2cm high, fritting to edges

Condition:
The rim has fritting and tiny glaze losses around the inner and outer edges, there is also an overglaze manufacturing imperfection to the inside of the rim which measures 30mm wide x 14mm high. Typical pitting to the glaze on the interior, some scuffing and scratching consistent with age and use to the glaze on the exterior, glaze losses and fritting around the edge of the foot, wear to the glaze on the edge of the base consistent with age and use. In good condition, with no restoration, chips or cracks.
