A cased violin with two bows. Violin bears the label Carl Willhelm Claesel, circa late 18th century/early 19th century, 35.5cm back in fitted wood case Label reads: Carl Willhelm Glaesel Violin Macher in Ngukirchen Bey Adorf in Voigladen.

One snapped string. Several splits visible including one large one by the sound post. Back panel is 'coming away' at the top. One bow has glue residue at join. Violin, bows and case are all generally a bit worn with scuffs, scratches, dings etc. case has 2 large chips at rim.
