A Chinese blue and white yen-yen vase, Kangxi period, painted with mythical beasts standing on rocks amid waves and clouds, double line circle to base, H. 45cm, neck broken and messily re-stuck

Vase has been broken into several sections around the neck and messily reglued with some chip losses and a hole around the area, one section of the rim measuring 7.5cm x 3cm is a piece from another vase which has been shaped to fit and ground and re-shaped, on some of the sections there is evidence of holes where it was once rivetted, there are other typical glaze imperfections such as fritting and minor glaze losses around edges in manufacture.
