A Chinese export ivory casket, 19th century, carved in high relief with figures amid paviloins and trees, on four paw feet, L. 24.5cm, clasp lacking

There is some later glue to some of the joints where the sections have come apart, the inset cover panel is missing a thin strip measuring one third of the length top left, on the left hand side bottom frieze of the box there is a slight gap where it joins the rear left leg and the opposing side frieze has been broken and re-glued, the clasp to the lock is missing and when viewed from the front there is a small loss to the ivory where the clasp went in, otherwise in reasonable condition.
