A Chinese copper-red 'three fish' stem bowl, underglaze blue Yongzheng six character mark and of the period (1723-35), the shallow bowl with slightly everted ring supported on a conical foot decorated with three fish in copper-red which goes to a mushroom colour in places, the interior of the stem inscribed in a horizontal line with the six character mark, height 11.5cm, diameter 15.5cm, foot possibly ground off

The slight off to the grinding to the foot was probably just to remove some kiln grit on the inside edge of the foot, there is some occasional minor scratches to the glaze inside and out and the bowl has a slight lean to it when viewed from certain angles, the copper red fish are more of an inky mushroom brown colour in places, otherwise in good condition with no chips or cracks.
